The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) launched a texting service a year ago that lets you verify your eligibility for voting for free. Users used to pay Rs. 2 for each message.
Voters are able to determine where their votes are registered by texting their NIC number, without any hyphens (-), to the number 8300. You will receive an SMS with all the information about your vote promptly. This service provides us with ease because it will save you a lot of time and doesn’t require your actual presence. For similar reasons, it is suitable for every Pakistani staying outside the country.
NADRA uses the phone numbers 7000,8300,8400,8500,9777, and 9888 to disseminate awareness SMS messages to the general public. Do not disregard these notifications because they will inform you of numerous government health initiatives, messages concerning citizen verification, and other crucial information. They will also assist you with matters like obtaining proof of identity and obtaining government assistance when you are under pressure. Simply adhere to the instructions in the text to confirm your vote online.
How to verify your vote via SMS:
Send your complete CNIC number without hyphens to 8300
You have to review the response that you will receive from 8300
If it’s confirmed that your vote is registered, then you must verify whether the electoral region listed in the SMS is correct or not. If not, fill out the Election Commission Form 17
If your vote is not registered, then you have to fill out Election Commission Form 15.
