The application of a driving license and its renewal have become considerably simpler with the arrival of the international system. We must be thankful to the Pakistan Information Technology Board (PITB). You can easily send your application for a driving license through the appropriate Driving Licence Information Management System (DLIMS) that is operational throughout all parts of Punjab.

If you want to apply for the renewal of a driving license, you don’t need to pass any theoretical or practical driving tests. You just need some documents for this application. 

Renewal of a driving license in Lahore:

Steps for the renewal of a driving license are listed below:

  • Browse the DLIMS website.
  • From the download section, you must download the necessary form for the renewal of your driving license.
  • After filling it out, submit this form.
  • Send the necessary documents to the nearest licensing office.
  • Get your renewed driving license on the specified date.

Documents required for the renewal of the Lahore driving license

The documents listed below must be attached to your application.

  • An application form with the necessary documents is needed to be enclosed in the file cover.
  • Two passport-sized pictures
  • Two genuine copies of your valid CNIC
  • Original driving license
  • The payment receipt as stated in the license form
  • Medical reports

Fee for the renewal of the license:

Your license must be renewed every 5 years. There are different rates of renewal applications for different automobiles. These rates are listed below for a time period of 5 years:

  1. Motorcycle. Rs. 500
  2. Car: Rs. 750
  3. Delivery van. Rs. 280
  4. TR. Com. Rs. 500
  5. TR. Agri. Rs. 250
  6. LTV, Rs. 750
  7. HTV, Rs. 1,000
  8. Road Ruler: Rs. 500
  9. Loco Moto. Rs. 660
  10. Invalid Carriage. Rs. 100
  11. Motorcycle and Car. Rs. 750
  12. Motorcycle and LTV. Rs. 750
  13. Motorcycle and Rickshaw. Rs. 450
  14. Motor Cab and Rickshaw. Rs. 450
  15. HTV and PSV. Rs. 1,000

Renewal of the driving license at the license center:

You can renew your license in any city in Punjab by going to Police Khidmat Markaz or one of the license centers; their locations are mentioned on the Punjab driving license center portal. 

The same documents listed above are required for the renewal of a driving license in Lahore at their center.

The above-mentioned renewal fees for this process are applicable at the center.
