Online Controversy: Fatima Tahir's Exam Video Goes Viral

Some time ago, a video surfaced featuring a couple of students from her college. In the video, they were seen capturing the scoreboard at Superior University, clearly indicating that Fatima Tahir had failed her exam. This video also amassed millions of views from Pakistani social media users.

Fatima Tahir's Visit to Corp Commander House and Criticism

Following the May 9 riots, where citizens rallied in support of safeguarding revered monuments honouring soldiers and army officials, a group of students from Superior University condemned the vandalism at Lahore’s Corps Commander House, also known as the Jinnah House. Their message aimed to echo the sentiments of the younger generation amidst the current political climate, but the presence of well-known social media figure Fatima Tahir as the spokesperson for the youth on national television became a source of amusement for social media observers.

Fatima Tahir received an invitation to visit Jinnah House in Cantt, Lahore. Accompanied by fellow students and professors, they assessed the damages caused by the riotous mob. Outside the Corps Commander’s house, she recorded a statement denouncing the attackers. Despite this, online criticism arose due to her past bold wardrobe choices, with some deeming her unsuitable for such an event.

Speaking to local media, she emphasised the significance of Jinnah House as a national asset and heritage, expressing unity between the people and the Pakistan Army. She highlighted the army’s role as a robust defence against both external and internal threats faced by our beloved country today.
