MSc Rural Development is a two-year degree program that provides students with a thorough understanding of rural life and the various socioeconomic concerns that impact the rural economy. This course also discusses activities that can be taken to strengthen the rural economy and lift people out of poverty and misery. The program helps to resolve issues that have long inhibited village development and advancement.
The MSc Rural Development program covers topics such as rural development theories, strategies, and planning, agricultural concerns, rural industrialization challenges, fisheries development, horticulture development, and other ways to increase rural household income. The students will have an interdisciplinary foundation upon which to address the numerous difficulties associated with rural transformation. It is intended for students who want to work in the rural sector and are interested in the opportunities and challenges that it presents.
Requirements for admission include 14 years of appropriate education, a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00, or a 2nd division, and passing the university’s admission test.
