The biological sciences have made tremendous advances. There is no doubt that bacteria are at the center of biological sciences today, and the majority of new technologies are based on microbes or microbe-based information. Despite their small size, bacteria have such a large impact on the globe that life would be practically impossible without them. Microorganism research is critical since antibiotics, vitamins, organic acids, enzymes, biologics, and vaccines are all produced by them. Furthermore, bacteria serve as the foundation and primary instruments in the fields of molecular biology, modern biotechnology, and genetic engineering. The goal of the courses is to provide students with advanced methodologies in microbiology, laboratory and literature-based research, as well as the concepts and abilities needed to use their knowledge in the workplace.
For those interested in pursuing research employment in academia, medicine, or industry, as well as adjacent fields where prior research expertise is advantageous, the Bachelor of Science in Microbiology offers a robust research foundation. It can also be used as a platform for postgraduate studies.
Graduates of the program are equipped with the knowledge and abilities needed to contribute to science in a morally responsible and productive manner.
