Advances in information and communication technology have brought us to the information age. The abundance of data and information sharing has led to an increase in the demand for cybersecurity skills. The need to have a solid foundation in the key principles of cyber security is clear. There is an urgent need to develop fundamental competencies in areas such as cybersecurity foundations, hardware and software security platforms, secure programming techniques, and safe human-computer interaction. The Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security (BS-CySec) curriculum aims to meet all of these requirements. The BS-CySec program is meant to generate trained and skilled cybersecurity experts who have developed a basic computing foundation by worldwide standards and can analyze security, ethical, and privacy challenges to devise solutions. Students who complete this course will be able to evaluate security trends, recognize best practices, and grasp IT security solutions and risks.
Cybersecurity is a branch of computer science with its field of study. Cybersecurity involves protecting computer systems, networks, and devices from digital threats, theft, and destruction. The overall goal of the BS Cyber Security program BS(CYS) is to provide students with a fundamental and advanced understanding of computing systems, as well as knowledge and expertise in the fields of information security, software security, system security, network security, organizational security, and societal security, including law, policy, and ethics. Students will learn how to apply these security principles and practices to the hardware, software, and human components of computer systems, as well as how to analyze, assess, and manage operational systems in the face of cyber risks and attacks.

Scope
Cybercrime is growing at an alarming rate around the world, posing a threat to both public and private institutions, businesses, and organizations. Every day, millions of accounts are hacked to gain unauthorized access to personal information, financial information, and bank data, and damage to systems, data, and accounts. As a result, the demand for cybersecurity expertise is rapidly expanding. Government institutions such as the police, military, administration, and banks, among others, have approved data and information that must be protected to ensure proper operation. Furthermore, with the development of cybercrime and cyber dangers, cybersecurity has become a critical component of every institute, corporation, and industry worldwide. As a result, the scope of cybersecurity is extremely broad. Large multinational corporations such as Google, IBM, McAfee, Dell, and others hire experienced and competent cybersecurity personnel. Some of the most appealing employment prospects for Cyber Security Professionals are as follows:
- Chief Information Security Officer
- Forensic Computer Analyst
- Information Security Analyst
