Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is a four-year degree program. The first two years of Chemical Engineering provide a firm foundation in basic sciences such as physics, algebra, and chemistry, as well as an overview of Chemical Engineering and its principles (Mass and Energy Balances and Thermodynamics). In their third year, students take more advanced Chemistry classes such as Physical and Analytical Chemistry, as well as important Chemical Engineering subjects including Momentum Transfer, Separations, and Reactor Design. During the final year, high-level technical electives such as Process Control, Capstone Lab, and Capstone Design address all of these topics. Students apply what they’ve learned in preceding Chemical Engineering courses to real-world team projects, lab presentations, and design.
