Early Life
Abbasi was born to a local Dhund Abbasi family in Murree, Pakistan. His home village was where he acquired his primary schooling. Abbasi matriculated from Rawalpindi’s Sir Syed School. He then enrolled in Government College Asghar Mall, where he earned his intermediate and bachelor’s degrees in arts. Quetta’s Balochistan University is where he earned a master’s degree. From the University of London’s Goldsmiths College, he also received a second master’s degree. His research topic was child labour. Ansar Abbasi is unquestionably regarded as a significant icon in Pakistani journalism today. He is Muhammad Sajawal Abbasi’s (late) youngest child; he passed away in 1981. He is a member of the noble Abbasis clan from the stunning Murree Hills.
Career
It was a deliberate professional choice. In 1991, after completing his master’s in mass communication, Ansar decided to become a journalist. He desired to work for the well-known Urdu Daily Jang. However, he received his first career position with an English Daily: “The Democrat” due to what he now views as good luck. . His first employment was with The Democrat, an English-language newspaper. Before eventually joining The News International, where he is currently an editor, he later worked for two months at the Pakistan Times newspaper.
