Anita Karim is a prominent Pakistani MMA fighter. She plays mixed martial arts. She has won multiple national and international fights.

Biography

Anita Karim, known as “The Arm Collector”, was born on October 2, 1996, in Hunza Valley, Pakistan. She has a height of precisely 5 feet. Her weight is 115 lb. (52 kg).

She belongs to a family of MMA fighters. The family has a history of winning many national and international fights.

Anita has three brothers, Uloomi Karim, Ehtisham Karim and Ali Sultan. Anita and his three brothers laid down the foundation of MMA gym “Fight Fortress”. Fight Fortress is the first MMA training centre in Pakistan.

Discipline and Training

Anita’s mom significantly contributes to Anita’s and her brother’s training. She ensures that management training levels are equal to military-style training. Anita has had a strict routine since childhood. She wakes up at 4 AM and completes a list of tasks before getting ready for school. Anita cleans the house, followed by feeding and milking goats and cows. Next, she brings firewood from the mountain. She also fills water from the stream. Finally, preparing breakfast and getting ready for school was a steady routine.

She learned a tight discipline from home. At school, students bully her, and she complains to her father. One day, her father took her to a Taekwondo academy. Her father was serious about her training, so he kept checking whether she attended Taekwondo regularly. After getting exercise, she beat the boys at school when they teased her or her friends.

Professional Training

Anita started her education in Hunza. Later, she moved to Islamabad for higher studies. Anita started her MMA training in Islamabad in 2016 during her studies in Islamabad. She has completed multiple grappling events. Later, she went to Fairtex Training Center for further grooming and learning.

Fairtex Training Center

Anita Karim has joined the Fairtex training centre to improve her fights. Fairtex Training Center has a big name among top-level Muay Thai fighters. In MMA, Fairtex became the best training centre. Fairtex Training Center has polished Anita, and she successfully won two gold medals in the Siam Cup in Bangkok, Thailand.

MMA Debut

In 2018, Anita got an offer from “One Warrior Series, Singapore, for a fight. This fight makes Anita’s MMA debut. Besides the debut, Anita became the first female MMA fighter of Pakistan. In MMA, she played two Muay Thai fights and won multiple medals. She has also won honours in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Coach Vova

Anita Karim got special training from coach Vova. She mainly thanks coach Vova for enabling her to win gold medals in the Siam Cup.

Anita has played six international MMA fights. She won four matches and lost only two games. Anita won three matches by decision and one by submission. She lost one fight by decision and one by submission. Anita played three games in Thailand and three matches in Singapore. She won two matches in Thailand.

Anita has a One Warrior Series 10 fight with Marie Ruumet on February 19, 2021. Marie belongs to Thailand but has taken special training in Marrok Force Bangkok. Anita won the match unanimously by defeating Marie.
